Kennesaw State finished the season sitting third in the ASUN and will take on the host North Florida in its first game in the ASUN Championship  on Wednesday, May 23 at 7 p.m.


ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (25-28) enters the ASUN Championship as the three seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season with an 11-10 record in the ASUN. They will be taking on North Florida in their first game on Wednesday. The Owls swept the Ospreys during the regular season.
  • AJ Moore and Frank German faced off during the regular season and Moore got the win going seven strong innings and only giving up two runs. The Owls scored three runs off German as he went eight innings.
  • Terence Norman led the Owls with a batting average of .337 during the year. Against UNF and German, he went 3-4 in the Friday night game and had one RBI.
  • Jake Franklin leads the team and is fifth in the ASUN with 7 home runs. In that sweep of North Florida, he went 6-9 over the final two days with three home runs.
  • Mike Sansing was inducted into the Peach Belt Hall of Fame the conference announced. He ushered Kennesaw State into the DII era in style winning a national championship in the team's first season. In 10 seasons in the PBC, Sansing won four PBC regular season championships, three PBC tournament championships and reached the DII World Series five times.
  • AJ Moore finished the season leading the team with a 3.03 era and a 5-2 record. He is sixth in the ASUN holding opponents to a batting average of 2.02 and is second in the ASUN striking out 31 batters looking.
  • Griffin Helms has been a force at bat all year. He leads the team with a .497 slugging percentage and is second on the team in home runs with five. He is also second on the team in doubles with 13.
  • Tyler Simon is another Owl that has had a great season. The freshman has started at third base for four games and finished the season second on the team batting .312 for the season. He scored 36 runs and batted in 26 more for the team.
  • With the one win over NJIT, head coach Mike Sansing sits eight wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 992-575 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,092-594 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
