JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Kennesaw State baseball team scored three runs in the eighth inning Friday evening, but the Jacksonville Dolphins clinched the series with an 11-3 victory at Sessions Stadium in ASUN action.

THE STORYLINES:
· Kennesaw State scored all three of its runs in the eighth inning, using four hits, including a two-run double by
Jaylen Smith. The junior notched his sixth multi-RBI game of the year with the eighth-inning base knock.
· Garrett Hodges recorded his seventh multi-hit game of the year and drove in his 14th run of the season as part of the big eighth inning.
· The Owls used six pitchers on the night.
Rhian Mann,
Jared Staples and
Nathan Dupree combined to toss 3.1 innings and allow just one hit and no runs.
· KSU has secured the No. 3 seed in next week's ASUN Championship and will open play on Wednesday, May 23 at 7 p.m. against tournament host North Florida.
UP NEXT
Kennesaw State and Jacksonville will cap the regular season Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Sessions Stadium.
