Kennesaw State is closing out the regular season on the road at Jacksonville. The Owls are currently 11-7 in the ASUN and one game behind Jacksonville in the standings.


ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (25-25) closes out the regular season against the Jacksonville Dolphins on the road in Jacksonville, Florida. The Owls sit in third place in the ASUN standings with an 11-7 record and only one game behind Jacksonville going into the final series of the season.
  • KSU and JU have been very even in their series over the years. The Owls are 19-18 all time against the Dolphins. The last time Kennesaw State played at Jacksonville, the Owls came away with a series win going 2-1.
  • The Owls are 11-7 in the ASUN overall and sit one game behind Jacksonville. With a series win over the Dolphins, KSU could finish the season in second place in the ASUN.
  • Mike Sansing was inducted into the Peach Belt Hall of Fame the conference announced. He ushered Kennesaw State into the DII era in style winning a national championship in the team's first season. In 10 seasons in the PBC, Sansing won four PBC regular season championships, three PBC tournament championships and reached the DII World Series five times.
  • The Owls were strong at home all season in three-game series going 7-1 overall. On the road in the ASUN, KSU won the series against USC Upstate and dropped its series at FGCU.
  • Terence Norman leads the team with a .349 average. That average leads the ASUN heading into the final weekend of the season. 
  • Brooks Buckler had the first complete game of the season for Kennesaw State on Saturday against NJIT. He led the Owls to a 7-2 victory only giving up two runs on seven hits. It was the first complete game for the Owls since Tony Dibrell had one on April 13, 2017.
  • The Owls lead the ASUN in extra base hits with 92 doubles, 9 triples and 38 home runs. The 92 doubles and 38 home runs lead the conference on their own as well.
  • With the one win over NJIT, head coach Mike Sansing sits eight wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 992-575 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,092-594 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
