ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (25-24) will look to try and close out its 2018 home schedule in style by defeating No. 5 Clemson at the Shake. First pitch is at 6 p.m.
  • It is the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Tigers won the first game 9-4. It is also only the second meeting overall between the two teams.
  • Kennesaw State currently sits in third place in the ASUN with an 11-7 record. With the Saturday victory over NJIT, the Owls clinched a spot in the 2018 ASUN Championship.
  • The Owls went 7-1 in weekend series at Stillwell Stadium this season.
  • Terence Norman had a huge week where he hit .611 in five games going 11-18 and he was even better over the weekend hitting .727 going 8-11 against NJIT during the three-game series.
  • Brooks Buckler had the first complete game of the season for Kennesaw State on Saturday against NJIT. He led the Owls to a 7-2 victory only giving up two runs on seven hits. It was the first complete game for the Owls since Tony Dibrell had one on April 13, 2017.
  • The Owls lead the ASUN in extra base hits with 92 doubles, 9 triples and 37 home runs. The 92 doubles and 37 home runs lead the conference on their own as well.
  • In the first two games against Grambling State, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
