Kennesaw State will host NJIT for its final home series of the 2018 season beginning May 11 at 4 p.m. They will celebrate nine seniors on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day before the game. The weekend series is sponsored by Canterbury Press.

ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (24-22) has the next four games at home starting with NJIT for a weekend series. KSU sits in second place in the ASUN with a 10-5 record heading into the last two weekends of the regular season.
  • Overall, the Owls are 5-1 against NJIT. KSU has been very successful at home winning the last seven weekend series in the friendly confines of Stillwell Stadium.
  • On Saturday, Kennesaw State will be honoring nine seniors before the game for Senior Day.
  • AJ Moore will be going for a couple of Kennesaw State records this weekend when he takes the mound against the Highlanders. With a win, he will have the most wins by a pitcher in Division I history. It would be his 18th career victory. He is also just 4.1 innings away from pitching the most innings in KSU D1 history.
  • A big part of KSU's success in conference play has been Moore leading the way on Friday nights. He holds a 5-0 record with a 2.39 ERA and has the Owls 8-3 this season on Friday nights.
  • Tyler Simon has had a great freshman season and is second on the team and is 10th in the ASUN with a .326 batting average. He also has the second highest slugging percentage at .468. The third baseman has 46 hits with nine doubles and three home runs.
  • Terence Norman has been a consistent force at the plate all season for the Owls and he leads the team batting .329. That mark is sixth in the ASUN. Norman is slashing .329/.406/.386.
  • The Owls lead the ASUN in extra base hits with 86 doubles, 8 triples and 36 home runs. The 86 doubles is tied for the lead in the ASUN with Stetson.
  • In the first two games against Grambling State, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
  • With one win over FGCU, head coach Mike Sansing sits nine wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 991-572 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,092-594 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
