Kennesaw State got a big series victory over the Stetson Hatters and will now look to win a midweek game against Georgia Southern. The Eagles have won four in a row against the Owls.

ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (17-15) travels down to Statesboro, Georgia to face Georgia Southern (16-15) for a midweek game on Tuesday, April 10 at 6 p.m. The Owls will be looking to stop a four-game losing streak to the Eagles. 
  • The Owls have been hot at home recently winning their last five series. In the last series, KSU used two comebacks against the Stetson Hatters to seal their fifth home series win in a row and second ASUN series win in as many tries.
  • David Chabut was named ASUN Player of the Week after batting .571 against one of the best pitching staffs in the nation on the Hatters. He scored three runs in the weekend series and four runs on the week. It was his first ASUN weekly award in his career.
  • On Saturday, Daniel Seres threw out four Stetson base runners trying to steal a base to set a new Kennesaw State single-game record. The previous record was held by Max Pentecost against Auburn during the 2014 season.
  • With the series victory over the Hatters, KSU hasn't lost a series at home to Stetson since the 2007 season. Stetson came into Stillwell Stadium leading the conference with a 23-6 record.
  • On Sunday, Jake Rothwell went seven innings and only giving up two runs on five hits. The seven innings was a season high for the junior right handed pitcher. 
  • In the first two games against Grambling State, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
  • With AJ Moore's start against Grambling State, he became the all-time leader in KSU Division I history in career starts. It was his 40th start total in an Owls uniform.
  • With the two wins over Stetson, head coach Mike Sansing sits 16 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 984-565 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,086-592 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
