ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (15-13) hosts Tennessee Tech (21-5) for a midweek clash at Stillwell Stadium. The Eagles and Owls last played in 2016 and TTU won both of those games.
  • The Owls have won seven of their last eight dating back to the last game against Oklahoma. Last weekend, KSU started ASUN play and got the series victory over USC Upstate.
  • KSU's bats have been on fire during the last eight games. They have been averaging 14.25 runs per game over that stretch and have scored at least nine runs in six of the eight games the team has played.
  • Kennesaw State took two of three games against USC Upstate to begin ASUN play. AJ Moore had a masterful performance on Friday pitching 7.0 IP with 10 K's. On Sunday, the Owls got another great pitching performance from Jake Rothwell and the bullpen as they combined to only give up two hits in the 5-2 win.
  • The last time the Owls played at home, KSU scored 63 runs on 63 hits in the series against Grambling State. Out of 22 team at bats, they scored at least one run in 17 of those frames.
  • In the first two games against the Tigers, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
  • Over the last eight games, the Owls have gone 7-1 with a 4-1 record on the road and 3-0 record at home.
  • With AJ Moore's start against Grambling State, he became the all-time leader in KSU Division I history in career starts. It was his 40th start total in an Owls uniform.
  • Terence Norman is one of the team leaders hitting .353 for the season. During the eight game stretch where the Owls have gone 7-1, Norman is batting .567 going 17-30 with 10 RBI.
  • With the two wins over USC Upstate, head coach Mike Sansing sits 18 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 982-564 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,084-591 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
