The Kennesaw State women's tennis squad enters the 2018 ASUN Championships as the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 Stetson Friday afternoon in the opening round. The winner will move on to take on No. 1 seed FGCU on Saturday.

The Owls (3-14, 2-4) fell 6-1 to the Hatters on April 5 in Deland, Fla. and will look to turn things around against Stetson where it matters most.Â

KSU will be making its sixth appearance in the ASUN Tournament. The Owls are 0-5 all-time in ASUN Tournament action.

About Stetson
The Hatters are 11-8 on the season and were 3-3 in ASUN play. Brooke Milner and Lucie Renault lead the Hatters with 12 wins apiece in singles action.

The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team edged past South Carolina State, 4-3, to collect its second straight ASUN Conference win on Saturday.

The win clinched the Owls a spot in the ASUN Tournament, which takes place April 20-22 in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Owls won the doubles for the second straight match.Â

Jada Tijanidefeated Morgan Dodd and Elin Hellberg 6-2 at No.3 doubles.Â

Aspen Jarrett clinched the point beating Noelia Acuna and Taylor Dodd 6-4 at No.2 doubles.

Laura Hopton was the first to finish as she rolled to a 6-4, 6-3 win over Vale Zarama at No. 3. Â
Jessica Cantrell (KSU) got past Taylor Dodd  7-6 (4-0), 6-4. The Owls clinched the victory whenÂ
Alexandra Mercado took down Carol Sigaki 6-3, 5-7, 6-3
