KENNESAW, Ga. – Senior
Alexandra Mercado was named second team All-ASUN Conference, it was announced by the conference office on Thursday (April 19).
"Alexandra has done a great for us the last four years," Director of Tennis
Eduardo Rincon said. "Her play has improved each year. She is a great competitor. The team will miss her and we wish her nothing but the best."
The second team was determined by best winning percentage at each position in ASUN Conference matches for those individuals who were not voted by the coaches to the first team.
Mercado tied for the team lead with 7 wins after playing in all 18 matches at No.1 singles. She finished 2-3 in ASUN play.
Kennesaw State will be back in action on Friday when it takes on Stetson in the ASUN Conference Championships on the campus of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (ET).
