Kennesaw State will look to win its sixth home weekend series in a row against the North Florida Ospreys from April 13-15.

ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (18-15) will try and stay hot at home against North Florida (18-15) looking for their sixth home series victory in a row. Both teams are 4-2 in the ASUN standings through the first two weekends.
  • The Owls have been hot at home recently winning their last five series. In the last series, KSU used two comebacks against the Stetson Hatters to seal their fifth home series win in a row and second ASUN series win in as many tries.
  • For the midweek game, KSU rolled down to Statesboro and ended a four game losing skid to Georgia Southern with a 12-3 victory over the Eagles. The Owls used a six-run fourth inning to break the game open and never looked back.
  • David Chabut was named ASUN Player of the Week after batting .571 against one of the best pitching staffs in the nation in the Hatters. He scored three runs in the weekend series and four runs on the week. It was his first ASUN weekly award in his career.
  • On Saturday, Daniel Seres threw out four Stetson base runners trying to steal a base to set a new Kennesaw State single-game record. The previous record was held by Max Pentecost against Auburn during the 2014 season.
  • The series split is almost even as the Owls are 41-43 against North Florida all time going back to the Division II days in the Peachbelt Conference. Each team has won the series at their home ball park all the way back to 2012.
  • LHP Ryan Kennedy got his first career win at Kennesaw State on Tuesday against Georgia Southern. He pitched five innings only giving up two runs on five hits. The bullpen came in and only gave up two hits and one run the rest of the way.
  • In the first two games against Grambling State, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
  • With the a win over Georgia Southern, head coach Mike Sansing sits 15 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 985-565 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,087-592 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
