Match Preview
The Kennesaw State women's tennis squad begins its final weekend of ASUN Conference play this weekend.  
 
The Owls will host NJIT on Thursday for Senior Day before heading to Spartanburg, S.C. to take on USC Upstate on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Owls will honor seniors Kennedy Craig, Laura Hopton and Alexandra Mercado during the match on Thursday vs NJIT.

The Series 
Thursday's match between Kennesaw State and NJIT marks the fourth meeting between the two programs. NJIT leads the series 2-1. Kennesaw State won 7-0 the first time the schools met in Kennesaw in 2016.

Kennesaw State and USC Upstate will meet for the 12th time on Saturday. KSU leads the series 7-4.
 
About NJIT
The Highlanders are 8-9 and 1-3 in the ASUN this season. Advaita Saravanan leads the Highlanders with a 11-6 record in dual match play this season. Amanda Helminsky are Advaita Saravanan       are NJIT's top doubles team with a 9-3 record this season.

About USC Upstate
The Spartans are 1-17 overall and 0-4 in the ASUN this season. Carol Sigaki paces the Spartans with a 5-12 record this season. Sigaki and Vale Zarama are USC Upstate's top doubles pair at 5-11 on the season.

The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team came up on the short end of a 4-0 loss at North Florida on Saturday (Apr.7) at the UNF Tennis Complex. UNF won two doubles matches and came out on top in each of the three singles contests that were completed. Alexandra Mercado battled tough in singles. She won her opening set 6-4 before dropping the second set 2-6 before her match was called in the third set. After dropping her first set, Jada Tijani was able to win her second set 6-2 before her match was also called in the third set.   


Next Up
The Owls will need to finish in the top-6 in the ASUN Conference standings to qualify for the ASUN tournament, which runs Friday-Sunday (Apr.20-22) in Jacksonville, Florida.
