Kennesaw, Ga- Senior Henriette Nielsen has been through many highs and lows in her KSU career.

As a freshman, she helped the Owls win the ASUN Conference Championship by a record 30 shots and was named ASUN Freshman of the Year. She would injure her shoulder during her sophomore year causing her to miss most of the spring season. During that time, Nielsen thought about possibly giving up on golf. With the support of her family, coaches and teammates during her strenuous rehab, she never gave up and returned to action. She played in nine of 11 tournaments finishing with a 76.56 scoring average as a junior. This season, Nielsen was named the team captain, is second on the team with a 74.12 scoring average, ranks 160th in this week's Golfstat rankings and has finished in top 15 in four of six events.

The senior sat down with Owl Network recently to discuss her career and her comeback from injury.

Nielsen and the Owls return to action on March 16-17 at the El Tigre Invitational in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
