JACKSONVILLE, Ala. –The Kennesaw State men's tennis team picked up a come from behind win at Jacksonville State on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls defeated JSU 4-3 on the JSU Tennis Courts.
The match featured a pair of teams that were on a roll entering play. JSU entered with a six-match winning streak, while KSU entered having won three in a row. The match would go all the way to final singles match before it was determined.

"We really bounced back after getting off to a slow start in doubles," Director of TennisÂ
Eduardo Rincon said. "The whole team showed a lot of fight and determination. Today was another amazing team win. We are looking forward to playing at home on Friday."
After JSU (10-2)Â won the first doubles match, the Owls No.3 doubles team of
Drew Lahey and
Bryan Triana knocked off Sergio Lizarraga and Pablo Caffarena, 7-6. JSU would answer the Owls taking the final doubles match to take the doubles point.
In singles action, The Owls got on the board first as
Drew Lahey beat Sergio Lizarraga at No.5 singles. The Gamecocks answered winning two singles matches to grab a lead 3-1 lead. The resilient Owls never gave up though.
Fermin Calvo Barcelo would get past Ajaz Kaplja, 7-5,6-4 at No.1 singles.
Bryan Triana beat Guillermo Agost, 7-6, 7-5 at No.4 singles to tie the teams at 3-3.
Corey Smith sealed the win for the Owls defeating Joaquin Vallejo, 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 at No.3 singles.
KSU (4-5)Â will return to action at home on Friday, March 9 when they will take on Georgia Southern at the Betty Siegel Courts beginning at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
