OPELIKA, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team carded a 10-over par 298 on Monday and is currently in fourth place following day two of the Tiger Invitational that is being contested at the par-72, 7,149-yard Grand National Lake Course in Opelika, Ala.
Junior
Wyatt Larkin shot an even-par 72 to lead the Owls, who have a 36-hole total of 6-over 582 and are 18 shots behind host and No. 9 Auburn. The Tigers recorded a second-round score of 5-under par 582, and hold a 14-shot lead over Maryland and Mississippi State, who are tied for second at 2-over par 578.
Junior
Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres, who was the first-round leader after posting a career-best 6-under par 66 on Sunday, shot a 4-over par 76 on Monday and is tied for ninth at 2-under par 142.
Larkin is tied for 19th at 1-over par 145, while juniors
Jake Fendt (146, +2) and
Adam Morris (149, +5) are tied for 27th and 49th, respectively. Freshman
Brady Keran (154, +10) is tied for 73rd.
David Kocher of Maryland is the individual leader at 8-under par 136 and has a two-shot lead over Auburn's Wells Padget.
The Tiger Invitational concludes on Tuesday with the Owls grouped with Southern Miss and Georgia State, and scheduled to tee off at 10:30 a.m. (ET). All the action can be followed live at
