Kennesaw State heads on the road for a non-conference midweek tilt at Jacksonville State Tuesday evening. The Owls (6-7) have won five of their last eight games, while the Gamecocks (8-3) are winners of five of their last seven. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, or 6 p.m. CST.Ā

- Kennesaw State heads on the road for a non-conference midweek tilt at Jacksonville State Tuesday evening. The Owls (6-7) have won five of their last eight games, while the Gamecocks (8-3) are winners of five of their last seven.
- KSU holds a 19-16 all-time record over the Gamecocks, with this being the first meeting since a three-game series in 2016 when Kennesaw State took 2-of-3 from JSU.Ā
- The Owls are 5-3 over their last eight games, totaling a .250 (70-280) batting average, 12 doubles, two triples, five home runs and 44 runs batted in. KSU has outscored its opponents 49-40 over the last eight games.Ā
- Kennesaw State's senior 1B/OF Taylor Allum has hit .370 (10-27) over the last eight games, totaling two doubles, two home runs, four RBI and a .667 slugging percentage.Ā
- Allum sits nine home runs shy of breaking Kennesaw State's Division I career record ā 29 by Andy Chriscaden (2011-12).
- Senior OF LaDonis Bryant has been playing some of his best ball wearing the Black and Gold uniform, hitting .333 (7-21) over his last seven games. Bryant has tallied one double, one triple and two RBI over the span, and a .476 slugging percentage. '
- 3B Jaylen Smith and 2B Grant Williams leads the team with 12 runs batted in apiece. The two, along with junior OF Jake Franklin, have tallied a team-leading three multi-hit games, including a career-high five RBI game for Williams.Ā
- LHP Ryan Kennedy gets the start for the Owls Tuesday evening. He enters the game with a 7.50 ERA, working 6.0 innings and has struck out four batters. He will face RHP Sean Rape of Jacksonville State.Ā
- With two wins over Samford, head coach Mike Sansing sits 27 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 973-557 (.637) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,075-585 (.648) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
