Kennesaw, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback vs FGCU on Saturday (Mar.31) at the Betty Siegel Courts.
FGCU won two doubles matches and came out on top in each of the six singles contests.
Laura Hopton battled tough in singles. After dropping the opening set 1-6, she won 6-4 in the second set before falling 10-6 in a tiebreaker in the third set to Madison Gallegos at number three singles.
The Owls (1-12) are next in action on Thursday (Apr. 5) when it travels to Deland, Fla. to take on Stetson beginning at 10 a.m. (ET).
