KENNESAW, Ga. –
Noelle Winkles singled up the middle to drive home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Kennesaw State softball team to a 3-2 victory over North Florida on Saturday and complete a three-game ASUN Conference series sweep at Bailey Park.
Â
Winkles capped a perfect day for the Owls (25-12, 5-1) as she went 2-for-2, walked and drove in a pair of runs.
Olivia Tamewitz, who scored the winning run following a leadoff single in the seventh, and

Â
After North Florida (20-20, 0-6) tied the score 2-2 with two outs in the seventh, Tamewitz opened the bottom half of the inning with a single up the middle, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and scored on Winkles' single to center field that provided the Owls with the walk-off win.
Â
Abigail Green (11-4), who relieved starter
Alley Cutting with two on and one out in the fifth inning, earned the victory after pitching 2 2/3 innings, allowing one hit, a run, walking one and striking out five.
Â
Alexa Solorzano and
Lauren Bennett each hit safely in the game as Kennesaw State totaled eight hits.
Â
The Owls return to action on Wednesday when they travel to nationally-ranked Auburn to take on the Tigers at 7 p.m. (ET).
