 KENNESAW, Ga.
– Sophomore
Drew Lahey won in straight sets
 to clinch a 5-2 win for the Kennesaw State men's tennis team over Florida Gulf Coast Saturday afternoon in ASUN action.

The Owls (7-7, 1-1) won the doubles point. KSU got wins from
Manuel Castellanos and
Fermin Calvo Barcelo over Oliver Landert and Marcelo Tebet 6-3 at No.1 doubles and
Lucas de Torres Curth and
Corey Smith got past Austin Bates and Felipe Ramirez, 6-4 at No.3 doubles.
In singles action,
Fermin Calvo Barcelo won his ninth-straight match with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Felipe Ramirez. FGCU won the next singles match to cut the Owls lead to 2-1. The Owls resiliency showed up again as
Corey Smith took down Oliver Landert 6-4, 6-2 and
Drew Lahey defeated Javier Fernandez 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the win for the Owls.
Bryan Triana battled back from a set down to beat Marcelo Tebet, 3-6, 7-6, 10-6.
The win was KSU's first in ASUN play this season and second straight over FGCU.
The Owls return to action on Thursday, April 5 when they travel to Deland, Fla. to take on Stetson at 5Â p.m.
