KENNESAW, GA. –
Drew Anderson was tabbed ASUN Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational over the weekend the conference announced Wednesday.
"We had a lot of outstanding performances last weekend," Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Andy Eggerth said. "Drew's stood out with a monster personal-best throw and win in the discus. It is great for Drew to receive this recognition from the ASUN."
Anderson won the discus with a personal-best toss of 49.57m (162'7.75). That throw leads the ASUN by nearly 10 feet. The sophomore also had his best career-best throw of 39.35m (129'1") in the hammer throw.
The team will split up with athletes competing at Texas Relays (Mar.28-31), at Florida Relays (Mar.29-31) and the Emory Classic (Mar.30-31).
