Kennesaw State will take its four game win streak on the road to take on Georgia State on Tuesday, March 27 at 6 p.m. It is the first meeting between the two teams this season.
 
ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (12-12) will take on Georgia State (12-11) on Tuesday, March 27. This is the first time the two teams have faced off this season.  
  • The Owls are riding a four-game winning streak after sweeping Grambling State last weekend. That is the longest winning streak for Kennesaw State this season.
  • KSU's bats came alive in the series against Grambling State as the Owls scored 63 runs on 63 hits. Out of 22 team at bats, they scored at least one run in 17 of those frames.  
  • In the first two games, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
  • Griffin Helms was named ASUN Player of the Week after going 8-12 from the plate with two home runs and 13 RBI. He finished the weekend with a slash of .667/1.417/.688. It was his first career player of the week award.
  • Helms wasn't the only player that dominated from the plate last weekend. Six players batted over .500 for the weekend led by Terence Norman, who went 8-10 for the weekend. He scored nine runs and had four RBI.
  • With the start last Friday by AJ Moore, he became the all-time leader in KSU Division I history in career starts. It was his 40th start total in an Owls uniform.
  • LaDonis Bryant leads the team hitting .347 on the season. He leads the team with 18 runs scored and has four doubles and three triples.
  • With three wins over Grambling State, head coach Mike Sansing sits 21 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 979-563 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,081-591 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
