THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State had another dominant offensive performance against Grambling State as KSU completed the series sweep 14-2 on Sunday, March 25 at Stillwell Stadium.
· The Owls bats were on fire all weekend as they posted 63 runs on 63 hits. Out of 22 team at bats, the team scored in 17 of those frames.
· Sunday's game was shortened to seven innings due to a 10-run mercy rule put into effect agreed upon before the game.
·
Griffin Helms finished off a great weekend going 3-3 from the plate with 3 RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
· After Grambling State got on the board first with one run, Kennesaw State posted 10 runs over the next three innings to take a commanding 10-2 lead over the Tigers.
· In the fourth inning,
LaDonis Bryant got a triple to push two more runs across the plate for the Owls to go up 12-2. They finished the inning leading 13-2 after four.
· Once the Owls went up 10-plus runs in the fourth, they cruised to the victory the rest of the way.
