Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Andy Eggerth's thoughts on the second day of the Winthrop Adidas Invitational
"We had a great day in all event areas today. The majority of our sprinters and hurdlers advanced to tomorrow's finals. Our distance athletes posted PR's. We had some PR's in the hammer throw. We had a couple NCAA qualifiers in the jumps, and our combined eventers swept the combined events with some great performances. We're in great position for tomorrow so I'm looking forward to more big things."
The final day of the meet is scheduled for Saturday, March 24 at the Irwin Belk Track. The field events are set to begin at 9:00 a.m. The running events will begin at 9:30 a.m.
