The Kennesaw State men's tennis squad continues its home stand with a pair of matches set for this this weekend on the Betty Siegel Courts. The Owls will host Lipscomb on Saturday at 11 a.m. to open ASUN Conference play.

KSU will make up its non-conference match against Gardner-Webb on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The men's tennis team is coming off a 4-3 win over South Carolina State on Saturday (Mar.18) The Owls enter play on Saturday winners of five of the last six matches.

The Series
Saturday's match between Kennesaw State and Lipscomb marks the 11th meeting between the two programs. Kennesaw State leads the series 6-4. KSU won 5-2 at Lipscomb to close out the 2017 regular season. Lipscomb beat KSU 4-3 in the opening match of the 2017 ASUN Tournament.
Kennesaw State and Gardner-Webb will meet for the first time on Sunday.

About Lipscomb
The Bison are 5-12 on the season and are coming off a 5-2 win over Wofford on Friday. Victor Chaw who is 10-2 in singles action this season leads Lipscomb. Geoff Hernandez is in his first season as head coach at Lipscomb.
The Last Time Out
 The Kennesaw State men's tennis team picked up a tough win against South Carolina State on Sunday afternoon. The Owls defeated SCSU 4-3 on the Betty Siegel Tennis Courts.
The Owls took early control of the match winning the doubles point.
Drew Lahey and
Bryan Triana defeated Aleksa Daskolovic and Vladyslav Yanchenko, 6-2 at No.2 doubles.
Corey Smith and
Harrison Wood got past Marcelo Rodriguez and Edgar Diaz, 6-2 at No.3 doubles.In singles action, The Owls got on the board first as
Bryan Triana defeated Marcelo Rodriguez, 6-3,6-0 at No.4 singles.
Fermin Calvo Barcelo knocked off Aleksa Daskolovic ,7-6 (7-3), 6-1 at No.1 singles to give the Owls a 3-0 lead in the match. The Bulldogs, then railed off three wins in a row to tie the match at 3-3. After dropping a set,
Lucas de Torres Curth was able to get past Jakub Vitek, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 to clinch the match for the Owls.
Next Up
The Owls return to action at home on Saturday, March 31 when they will take on FGCU at the Betty Siegel Courts beginning at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
