Kennesaw State heads West to take on Big 12 power house Oklahoma for a non-conference weekend series at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The Owls (8-10) and Sooners (12-7) meet for the second time in programs' history. The two met in 2017 at Stillwell Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga. The series begins Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET 
ON DECK
  1. Kennesaw State (8-10) flies out West to take on non-conference Big 12 foe Oklahoma for a three-game series a L. Dale Mitchell Park. It marks the first meeting between the two clubs in Norman, Oklahoma, with the first meeting in teams' history in 2017 at Stillwell Stadium. 
  2. The Owls enter the weekend in search for their first road win on the season. KSU has competed in 18 games, with 15 of them taking place at home in Kennesaw, Ga. 
  3. KSU is batting .235 (24-102) in three road games, out-hitting opponents 24-21 with five doubles, two home runs and nine RBI. The Owls are slugging .343 and a .336 on-base percentage. 
  4. LaDonis Bryant and Jake Franklin lead the team offensively in road contests, batting .400 (4-10) and .363 (4-11), respectively. Bryant and Franklin have combined for three extra base hits and five RBI. 
  5. Bryant is batting .354 (17-48) with eight runs scored, two doubles, two triples and five RBI in 13 starts. He enters the weekend with a slash of .354/.479/.436 and is tied for first on the team with four stolen bases. 
  6. Franklin sits behind Bryant with a .310 batting average (22-71), tallying the most hits on the team and has registered four doubles, one triple and two home runs. He has driven in 11 RBI on the season. 
  7. Senior 2B Grant Williams enters the weekend ranking second on the team with 21 hits, leads the club with eight doubles and 16 RBI. He is slugging .471 and a .440 on-base percentage.  
  8. The Owls' weekend rotation will feature RHP AJ Moore (1.83 ERA, 1-0, 19.2 IP, 24 K), RHP Brooks Buckler (2.74 ERA, 1-0, 23.0 IP, 16 K) and RHP Jake Rothwell (8.15 ERA, 0-1, 17.2 IP, 16 K) 
  9. With two wins over Sacred Heart, head coach Mike Sansing sits 25 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 975-561 (.637) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,077-589 (.648) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
