ON DECK
  1. Kennesaw State (4-6) welcomes Samford (5-4) to Stillwell Stadium for the first time since 2010, when the Owls dropped two of three to the Bulldogs. The Owls defeated Samford, 11-6, in the opener, but dropped a 9-7 and 5-3 decisions over the final two days.
  2. The Owls enter the weekend with a 4-5 record at home this season, batting .227 (69-304) as a team. Kennesaw State has totaled 28 extra base hits and 46 of their 51 runs have been driven in.
  3. Since returning to the lineup, senior 1B/OF Taylor Allum has registered a .364 (4-for-11) batting average, totaling three runs scored, a double and a home run. He sits 10 home runs shy of breaking KSU's D-I record for a career.

  8. Senior RHP AJ Moore has been the catalyst in the rotation and will make his third start of the season over the weekend. He will need just two more starts to become KSU's D-I all-time leader in career starts.
  9. Head Coach Mike Sansing will act as the Owls' manager for his 27th season, sitting 29 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 971-557 (.637) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,073-584 (.648) all-time in 30 seasons.
