Weekend Preview
The Kennesaw State men's tennis squad returns to action when it travels to Macon, Ga to take on Mercer on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The men's tennis team is coming off back-to-back 4-3 losses to Belmont and Liberty over the weekend and are seeking their first win of the season.
 
The Series
Tuesday's match between Kennesaw State and Samford marks the 11th meeting between the two programs. Mercer leads the series 7-3. The two teams split a pair of matches last season with each team winning on their home court.
 
About Mercer
Mercer is 4-1 on the season. The Bears have won four-straight matches entering play on Tuesday.


The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team battled all day before dropping a 4-3 decision to Liberty on Saturday morning at Lifetime Fitness. After the Bruins took the first set in three singles matches, the Owls came alive as Lucas De Tores Curth (KSU) (3-6, 7-5, 6-1) picked up a win over Eddie Gutierrez at No.2 singles. Moments later, Bryan Triana (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) knocked off Vince Salas at No.4 singles. Drew Lahey (7-5, 6-3) collected a win over Alex Poynter at No.5 singles. Liberty would clinch the match with a win in the No.6 singles match.
 
Next Up
The Owls return to action at home on Saturday, Feb.17 when they will take on Gardner-Webb at the Betty Siegel Courts beginning at 2p.m.
