ATLANTA – Kennesaw State fell victim to a six-run first inning that it was unable to overcome and fell 9-0 in five innings to Georgia Tech in a non-conference game Wednesday at Shirley Clements Mewborn Field.

Two errors in the opening frame proved costly as the Yellow Jackets (7-6) scored four unearned runs against Owls starter
Alley Cutting.

Meanwhile, Kennesaw State (4-6) managed just three hits as
Olivia Tamewitz,
Patricia Awald and
Raleigh Williams reached base safely.

The Owls are back in action on Friday when they host Detroit in a doubleheader during the first day of the I-75 Challenge. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Bailey Park.
