                 SPARTANBURG, S.C. –The Kennesaw State women's tennis came up short against Wofford 5-2 on the Reeves Courts on Saturday afternoon.
"I am extremely proud of the team's effort today," assistant head coach 
Miranda Foley said. "Although We came up just short, we battled like a team. We need to learn from what experiences we went through today and be able to put ourselves in this position time and time again and believe the end result will come our way."
 
After falling in all three doubles matches, The Owls would collect a pair of singles wins. 
Alexandra Mercado would continue her strong play as she defeated Cassidy Hicks at No.1 singles in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. 
Jada Tijani picked up a win at No.6 singles over Alex Mayfield 6-1,6-2.
"After starting the season mainly on the road we are looking forward to returning to our home courts," Foley said.
The Owls will host Austin Peay on Sunday March 4 at 4 p.m. at the Betty Siegel Courts First serve is set for 2 p.m. Admission is free.
