The Owls return to Stillwell Stadium as part of their 10-game homestand to open the season, welcoming non-conference foe Evansville to town for a weekend series. Kennesaw State and the Aces play once on Friday, a doubleheader on Saturday, and the finale on Sunday. All four games are scheduled to stream live on Facebook.
ON DECK
- Kennesaw State returns to Stillwell Stadium for a non-conference series versus Evansville. The Owls are in the midst of a 10-game homestand to open the 2018 season, and are schedule to play on their home grass 16 of their first 18 games.
- The Owls opened their season with an impressive 7-3 victory over UCONN on opening night. KSU scored seven runs on eight hits, registering two doubles, three home runs and hit .258 as a team on opening night.
- Head Coach Mike Sansing will act as the Owls' manager for his 27th season, sitting 32 wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 968-555 (.637) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,070-582 (.648) all-time in 30 seasons.
- The Owls return 19 from 2016 and place 16 newcomers on the roster. Kennesaw State will showcase 12 new pitchers and four position players, while eight returning pitchers and 11 position guys return from a season ago.
- OF Jake Franklin tallied his second home run of the season Wednesday night versus SEC foe Georgia, totaling four career homers wearing the Black and Gold. Franklin is off to a .286 batting average, leading the team with six hits, two home runs, 13 total bases and a .619 slugging percentage.
- 2B Grant Williams, who tallied a career-high five RBI against Minnesota on opening weekend, leads the team with seven runs batted in. He has registered a .294 batting average with a pair of doubles and a grand slam on his 2018 resume.
- RHP Luke Torbert and Monty Horn combined for 3.0 scoreless frames for the Owls versus Georgia out of the bullpen. Torbert owns a 2.45 ERA in 3.2 frames of work, striking out four batters, while Horn made his Black and Gold debut striking out the side.
- Kennesaw State finished 2017 with a 25-32 overall record. The Owls holds winning record in 27 of its first 34 seasons of existence.
- KSU plays a total of 56 games in the regular season, 36 of them coming at home and 20 on the road. The Owls take on 17 (nine home, nine away) midweek tilts and opens ASUN action on the road at USC Upstate on March 29.

Premium home games include Mercer (Feb. 27), Samford (March 2), North Florida (April 13), Lipscomb (April 20), Georgia State (May 8), Georgia Southern (May 9) and Clemson (May 15), and are priced $10 for single-game tickets.
