QUOTING BERENATO
"I thought the starters came out and were really prepared to play," head coach
Agnus Berenato said. "Anytime you start two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior, they're going to be anxious. I thought the first couple minutes were really good and then (Alexis) Poole got her fouls. We had to take her out and whole complexity of the game changed.
Â
"We have to overcome that and I told Alexis 'we cannot play without you' if we want to play our style of ball," Berenato added. "Overall, in the second half I was really pleased with the team."
Â
BERENATO ON THE STATE OF THE TEAM
"I think they are working really hard every day, but what my staff and I are trying to do is make them realize that they can work harder," Berenato said. "This is the hardest I have worked at Kennesaw State, but they have more and my whole philosophy is we have more players. I think we have to keep pushing and I am happy the first half happened. It will help me tomorrow at practice. Overall, I am pleased." Â Â
