JOHNS CREEK, Ga.
- The Kennesaw State women's golf team sits in seventh place after the second round at the Alexa Stirling Women's Intercollegiate Invitational on Saturday (Oct.27).

"We struggled again today, battling cold, wind and a really challenging set up," head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. "Props to the Atlanta Athletic Club for preparing this course for championship style golf. I do feel we learned a lot today about our weaknesses and areas we need to grow in. We battled on our second nine again and maintained position. I am looking forward to the final round tomorrow to see what this team is made of. If we have a good round tomorrow we can earn a top five finish."

The Owls recorded a 13-over par 301 on Saturday. Louisville leads the tournament at 8-over par 584.

Chloe Thornton continues to lead the Owls through two rounds. She carded a 2-over par 74 with five birdies and 8 pars. The freshmen is tied for 15th at 5-over par 149.
