Clara Aveling and
Roanne Tomlinson were tabbed ASUN Conference Women Golfers of the Week, the conference announced Thursday (Oct.18).
Tomlinson and Aveling helped lead the No.33 Owls to a win in a very strong field at the Magnolia Invitational.

Rhyll Brinsmead . " They have both played fantastic golf this fall. Being recognized by the conference office for their third place finish is very satisfying. They are both currently first and second all-time in scoring average records. This is due to their hard work and commitment at practice."
Aveling carded rounds of 72-69 for a 3-under total of 141. She finished in a tie for third. Her round of 69 tied her season and career-low round and her nine birdies tied for fourth most in the field. The Linkbeek, Belgium native has recorded a 71.75 scoring average through three events and ranks No. 81 in the Golfstat rankings. This is her first career ASUN Golfer of the Week award.
Tomlinson posted rounds of 73-68 to tie Aveling for third at 3-under par 141. Her round of 68 was her career-low round at KSU. It was the 14
th round that she has shot par or better as an Owl. She played the par 4s in 2-under, which was good for second best in the field. The senior ranks second on the team with a 72.13 scoring average through three events. This is also her first career ASUN Golfer of the Week award.
The Owls will close out the fall season in Johns Creek, Georgia at the Alexa Stirling Women's Invitational (Oct. 26-28).
