Statesboro, Ga. -- The Kennesaw State women's tennis teams continued play at the Georgia Southern Shootout on Saturday.
"I saw a lot of positives the past two days, Director of Tennis
Matt Emery said. "Kendall had two very solid wins and played with a lot of confidence. Jessica abs Brenna also meshed really well and picked up two good wins in doubles. We have three girls competing in a final tomorrow, and we are looking for all seven girls to finish the last day strong."
In doubles,
Jessica Cantrell / Brenna Reilly beat a duo from SCAD in their opening match and defeated Stephanie Taylor/ Defne Olcay of Emory to reach tomorrow's final.
Kendall Nash advanced to the finals with wins over Lauren Yoon of Emory 6-2, 6-3 and Arianna de Winter of Georgia Southern 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the finals.
The Owls got wins from
Elle Baker, Brenna Reilly and Jessica Cantrell in singles action.
KSU will conclude play at the Georgia Southern Shootout on Sunday, October 14.
