Jessica Cantrell .
After dropping the second set, Cantrell took Elsa Pool to a tiebreaker before winning 6-4, 2-6, 10-5. Cantrell battled tough against Holly Horsfall falling 4-6, 3-6.
"The girls competed hard today," Director of Tennis
Eduardo Rincon said. "We had a rough start in doubles but we were able to get into some of the singles matches and finished the day playing better than where we started.
Laura Hopton did a good job winning her match and applying to the match what she has been working on during practice. UAB is another tough opponent, but we're excited to get out there."
Kennesaw State concludes its trip to Birmingham on Sunday (Jan.21) when it meets UAB at George Ward Park beginning at 3 p.m. (ET).
