JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Freshmen
Kamiyah Street and
Alexis Poole led the Kennesaw State women's basketball team with 15 points each during an 84-49 loss to host Jacksonville Monday afternoon at Swisher Gymnasium in Jacksonville.

The loss dropped the Owls to 4-10 overall and 0-3 in ASUN Conference play, while the Dolphins, who had four players score in double figures, improved to 13-5 and 3-0 in conference action. Sophomore
Carlotta Gianolla also reached double digits in scoring with 10 points for KSU.

STORYLINE
Jacksonville's size and depth proved a difficult challenge for Kennesaw State as the Dolphins shot 42.6 percent from the field, outscored the Owls 38-24 inside and 36-4 off the bench. JU also went 26-for-32 from the foul line. After leading 35-21 at halftime, Jacksonville outscored the Owls 26-10 in the third quarter to lead 61-31 heading into the fourth quarter.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Street scored in double figures for the eighth straight game and 12th time in 14 games this season. With 15 points and eight rebounds, Poole just missed her fifth double-double of the season and scored in double figures for the eighth time.

The Owls return home on Saturday (Jan. 20) to host defending ASUN Conference tournament champion Florida Gulf Coast at the KSU Convocation Center. Tip-off is 2 p.m. It will be Youth Day and Kennesaw Business Association Day.Â
