To start the 2018 indoor track and field season, the Kennesaw State track and field team's will be traveling to West Lafayette, Indiana to compete in the Gene Edmonds Open hosted by Purdue University.

LAST TEAM  INDOOR MEET
 Kennesaw State earned its sixth-straight ASUN Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship as the Owls racked up 221 points behind seven event wins This is the eighth indoor championship the team has won, which is the most all-time in the conference. The women's track and field team won their first title in program history at the 2017 ASUN Indoor Track and Field Championships scoring 249 points. 
 
NEXT UP
The team will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the Commodore Invitational at the Vanderbilt Indoor Facility Jan. 20-21.


NEWS AND NOTES
»   The men's track and field team return to the track this season looking to defend their indoor and outdoor conference championships. Last year, the Owls swept the indoor and outdoor championships for the sixth time in the program's history.
 
»   The men's team this season features 25 athletes on this year's roster including three seniors, four juniors, nine sophomores and nine freshmen.
 
» Of the 16 returners, 13 of them were indoor All-Conference selections last year.
  
» Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Eggerth enters his eighth season leading the Owls.
 
» The women's track and field team are in pursuit of their first ever ASUN title having finished runner-up six times. 
 
» This year's women's team features 39 athletes on this year's roster with 11 freshmen, 13 sophomores, seven juniors and 8 seniors.  

» The women's team returns 10 of their indoor All-Conference selections from last season.
 
» Around 50 Owls are scheduled to make their 2018 season debut at the Gene Edmonds Open.
