Coach Poteet on the Teams Performances Today
"Our runners on both teams showed a resolve to drop times. Each one talked about what it would take to do so the night before our race, then went out and worked to improve.
Â
"This was a meet I put on the schedule to use as a marker of where we are at and where we need to go heading into the later part of the season.
Â
"Logan ran as he is capable of doing, and Chase is starting to grasp the mental aspects of running an 8k. Jordan and Will ran better deeper into the race, and a little more strength/speed work will help them late in the race.
Â
"Caitlyn ran her fastest time ever, as did Saidah, Katie, and Morgan. Reagan is getting her strength back, and Brooke knows she must convert good workouts into great races. We still have to drop more time, which I know we will.
Â
"This race was about running positively and pushing the middle of the race. I thought everyone did just that. Just another strong week of workouts and even better times and finishes will follow.
Â
"I am proud of all efforts this week as we work to prepare for the conference championships at the end of October."
Kennesaw State Head Coach David Poteet
