Coach Poteet on the Teams Performances Today
"The women put in full efforts and did not have big drop off," head coach David Poteet said. "But our goal is to drop times. We talked about that, and they know it."
"I never saw this performance coming for our men after our practices this week. Maybe it's on me or maybe it's on the runners. Maybe a mix of the two. All I know is it cannot happen again and we will make the needed changes to make sure it doesn't happen again.
"I know both teams have better times, and we will work smartly to reach those times. This happened at one point last year, and we came back from it.
"We will be ready for our next race at Jacksonville State in two weeks."

Notes
- The Commodore Classic marked the third consecutive time that Patterson and Farrell have been the Owls top finishers in a meet.

Next Up
The Owls will return to action Saturday, September 30 at the Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Alabama.
