THE MEET
The Kennesaw State track and field teams will be well represented with 14 athletes competing in 10 events at the 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships as the University of Kentucky will play host to the NCAA Championships East Preliminary Rounds from May 25-27 in Lexington. Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn berths into the NCAA Championships. The best 24 relay times also advanced to NCAA Championships. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West preliminaries will advance for the semifinals/finals of the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 7-10. There is no decathlon or heptathlon competition at this part of the NCAA Championships. The top 24 decathlon and heptathlon marks in the nation earn an automatic berth to the finals of the NCAA Championships in Oregon in June.
UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex
Officially opened on October, 5, 2012, the facility provides the UK track and field program with a state-of-the-art training and competition venue.
With grandstand seating for nearly 3,000 spectators, a video scoreboard to go along with a beautiful Meet Administration Building, the UK Track and Field program boasts one of the finest homes in the country and the world.
The UK Track is located on the UK Campus adjacent to the Cliff Hagan Baseball Stadium as well as many more of the UK Athletics Facilities. The facility is outfitted with a world class nine-lane blue synthetic polyurethane track, two dual-directional runways for jumps, as well as ample room for throwing and jumping events. The facility also boasts a practice track runway to make it among the nation's most innovative training sites.

LAST TEAM OUTDOOR MEET
The Kennesaw State track and field teams both put on dominant performances at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The men won their fifth consecutive ASUN Outdoor Championship title. The men's team shattered the previous ASUN scoring record with 307 points in the two-day meet. Those 307 points were the most scored by any Division I men's Outdoor conference championship winning team in 2017. The Owls won 34 medals including 13 gold medals at the Outdoor Championships. The women's team won their first ASUN Outdoor Championship title. The women's team shattered the previous ASUN scoring record with 274.50 points in the two-day meet as the team finished 141.5 points ahead of 11-time reigning ASUN Champion Jacksonville. Those 274.5 points were the most scored by any Division I women's outdoor conference championship winning team in 2017. The Owls collected 24 total medals including 10 gold medals at the meet. The Owls collected some more school and conference championship records as well.

Jordan Gray qualified for the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Oregon after winning the heptathlon with a school and conference record 5641 points which was good for 14
th-best in the NCAA this season.
»Kennesaw State was the only team in the NCAA East Region to have three men qualify in the pole vault. Long Beach State, Sam Houston State and Texas A&M each had three guys qualify in the pole vault in the West Region this year.
