KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State head women's basketball coach Agnus Berenato added another talented recruit to an already strong recruiting class with the signing of guard Kamiyah Street to a National-Letter-of-Intent, it was announced on Monday.
 
Street (Mays, Ga. / Atlanta, Ga.) joins Caroline Dan (Falkonergaarden Gymnasium / Copenhagen, Denmark), Brianna Dixon (Duluth High School / Duluth, Ga.), Erin Freeman (Giles County High School / Pulaski, Tenn.), Breanna Hoover (Blackhawk High School / Beaver Falls, Pa.), Lexi Mann (Greater Atlanta Christian School / Stone Mountain, Ga.), Janae Omusi (Saddleback College / San Diego, Calif.), and Alexis Poole (Stockbridge High School / Ellenwood, Ga.), who previously signed letters-of-intent with Kennesaw State. Simina Avram (Georgia Tech / Brasov, Romania) will also join the 2017-18 Owls' roster after signing a Grant-In-Aid.
 
"Kamiyah is an outstanding student-athlete.  She knows what winning is, and has won in everything she has attempted," Berenato said. "She was named the 2017 Georgia 6A Player of the Year after leading her team to this year's state championship, and concluded her career with over 3,000 points.
 
"Kamiyah's ability to dribble penetrate for the score or kick the ball to the wing enables her to play either the point or off-guard, and her scoring ability will help us immediately," Berenato added. "She has a flare for great passes and makes her teammates better. I also like the fact Kamiyah is track champion." 
 
Street, who is a two-time Atlanta Journal-Constitution Georgia 6A Player of the Year and all-state selection, was ranked 112th overall and 27th nationally among guards by Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report. She was twice tabbed the Atlanta/South Fulton Player of the Year, scored over 3,000 points and capped her prep career by leading Mays Highs School to the 2017 6A state championship. Street was a two-time 6A Region 6 Player of the Year, GACA All-Star as a junior and senior, and named GACA 6A North Player of the Year.
 
A two-sport athlete, Street has also excelled in track, advancing to the Georgia state championships on multiple occasions, and is a two-time state champion in the 300-meter hurdles. She also was a part of the winning 4x400 relay team that helped Mays High School to the 2017 state championship. She is a two-time high jump, 300-meter hurdles and 400-meter region and sectional champion.
