Last week, Kennesaw State honored its 51 newest Owl alums during a graduation brunch in the Prillaman Hall Atrium. The event culminated with each graduate receiving a special sash that that identifies them as student-athletes during their commencement ceremony.
The Owls have prided themselves on success both on the field and in classroom. In the latest data released by the NCAA, Kennesaw State had two programs (volleyball and women's tennis) earn NCAA Public Recognition Awards for compiling Academic Progress Rates that rank among the top 10 percent nationally in their respective sports.
Additionally, five programs recorded their highest APR since the data began (baseball, men's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's tennis and volleyball). Every Owl team recorded an APR of 930 or better, with 14 of the 16 programs earning 950 or better.
