FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team fell on the road at first-place Florida Gulf Coast Thursday night in Fort Myers.

The Eagles improved to 12-4 overall and remained undefeated in the ASUN at 4-0 with their 7-0 victory over the Owls, who slipped to 5-12, 1-4.

FGCU claimed the doubles point, and then swept the first three singles matches at Nos. 5, 6, and 1 to clinch the victory.
Cristina Perez-Martin put up a fight at No. 2, dropping the first set 7-5, rebounding to take the second set in a tie-breaker, before falling 10-5 in the third.

The Owls have two matches remaining in the regular season and their home finale is set for Wednesday, April 12 versus in-state rival Mercer at 2 p.m.
