KENNESAW, Ga. -- Back home at the Betty Siegel Courts on campus, the Kennesaw State tennis teams welcome the University of Detroit for a doubleheader Wednesday. The women's match begins at 1 p.m., followed under the lights by the men at 5 p.m.

The Owls are planning a special "Under the Lights" promotion for tomorrow night's men's match, as free food from Taco Mac will be provided and one lucky fan will win a pair of Beats by Dre headphones.

Wednesday's doubleheader begins a busy homestand for the Owls: Friday, the women welcome Southern Miss at 1 p.m.; Saturday is a doubleheader that begins at 11 a.m. versus Alabama A&M; Sunday the men host Presbyterian at 1 p.m.

The men's team is 4-5 overall and enters Wednesday's match versus the Titans having won three of its last four. Senior
Simon Pritchard is 5-4 overall and
Sam Slade is 4-4 to lead the way in singles play, while sophomore
Fermin Calvo Barcelo has won three of his last four singles matches. In doubles, Pritchard owns a team-best 6-2 record this spring. As a team, the Owls are 11-9 in doubles action.

The Owl women have been led by junior
Alexandra Mercado, who is 4-3 in singles play this spring. She has won three of her last four singles matches, and four of her last six. Two of her last three wins have come since her move to No. 1 singles.

Detroit brings a 5-7 men's record into Wednesday's match and dropped a 5-2 decision at Mercer today. The Titan women are 3-5 overall, and fell at Mercer 6-1 on Tuesday.
