KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team dropped an ASUN Conference home match to North Florida Thursday afternoon at the Betty Siegel Courts.
Â
The two-time defending ASUN champion Ospreys improved to 2-0 in conference play and 10-7 overall with the 7-0 victory. The Owls slipped to 5-10, 1-2.
"The doubles was competitive at the start, but we weren't able to maintain that level of play throughout. I liked what I saw from Cristina and Aspen – they were actually leading when the doubles point was clinched. I thought Kennedy (Craig) showed good fight today in singles. We need to put this behind us, and get some energy going for a big match Saturday against Stetson."
UNF grabbed the doubles point, and won all six singles matches for the victory.
Kennedy Craig played tough in singles for the Owls, dropping a pair of close sets by scores of 7-5, and 7-6 in a tiebreaker.
Kennesaw State returns to action Saturday when the team welcomes Stetson to the Betty Siegel Courts on campus. First serve is set for 12 p.m. and admission is free.
