Madison Caldwell has been named the ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday (March 30).
Caldwell had a strong performance during the Henssler Intercollegiate as she tied for sixth place while competing as an individual. The Dawsonville, Ga. native posted rounds of 73-72-72 for a 54-hole total of one-over par 217, finishing four shots out of first place. Her 36-hole total of 145 and final score of 217 established career best totals. Caldwell made 35 pars and 10 birdies during the three-round tournament.
Caldwell's performance came in a field that included five teams ranked in Golfstat's top 50 and six players ranked in the top 50. Only co-individual medalists 26
th-ranked August Kim of Purdue and 11th-ranked Pimnipa Panthong of Kent State finished ahead of Caldwell among ranked players.
Kennesaw State will travel to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico to compete in the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational hosted by Iowa at El Tigre Country Club April, 2-4.
