AUGUSTA, Ga. –The Kennesaw State women's golf team struggled early but was able to bounce back over the remaining 15 holes and is in ninth place after round two of the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
KSU shot a 304 (+16) in the second round with a total of 501 (+25). The Owls are just six shots behind Augusta, ETSU and Daytona State who are tied for fourth.
"We collectively had a terrible start to our round today, thru three holes as a team we were 10-over par," said head coach
Rhyll Brinsmead. "I appreciate the fight in the team though to turn it around on the remaining 15 holes. To shoot 16 over total and only be six shots back of fourth place is OK considering our start. Medy and Henri both played solid golf in tougher conditions today. It's a very bunched leaderboard and a good round tomorrow will push us upwards."
Sophomore
Medy Thavong fired a 74 (+2) and is tied for 13
th with a two-round total of 147 (+3).
Fellow sophomore
Charlotte Charrayre carded a 77 in round two and is tied for 31
st with a 151 (+7) total.
Junior
Henriette Nielsen carded a 75, while senior
Dulcie Sverdloff posted a 78 as both are tied for 35
th with a total of 152 (+8).
Sophomore

th with a two-round total of 156 (+12).
The Owls are off in Sunday's final round which is scheduled for a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. with Ole Miss and Troy.
