Â
The Owls got a run back in the bottom half of the inning on a two-out single by Thomason that scored
Chandler Griffin, who walked to open the frame.
Â
Kennesaw State rallied for two runs in the fifth inning. Sutter tied the score with a leadoff home run off the scoreboard in right field to make it a 3-2 game. It marked her ninth of the season, setting a single-season high, and was the 30th of her career.
Â
The Owls then capitalized on a Redhawks miscue when Griffin reached on an error and advanced to second base on the play.
Andrea Summey, who pinch ran for Griffin, scored the go-ahead run with some heads-up base running, scoring on a base hit to right field by McCulley.
