In their final tune up before the ASUN Indoor Championships, the Kennesaw State track and field team's will be traveling to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.

LAST TEAM INDOOR MEET
The Owls teams both put together solid weekends at the Harvard Crimson Elite Meet and the BU Scarlet and White. Both teams posted strong performances and set three school records.  
 
NEXT UP:
The team will travel to Winston Salem, North Carolina to compete at the JDL Fastrack in the ASUN Indoor Track Championships on February 23-24. 
 
NEWS AND NOTES:.
 
» The men's team leads the ASUN in six of 17 events so far this season. 
 
» The Owls have been led by athletes from all different classes this season. Senior Hunter Arnold (pole vault) and Fabeon Tucker (shot put and weight throw), junior Sean Blassingame (long jump), sophomore Dayo Akindele (triple jump) and the men's 4x400m relay team all lead the ASUN currently.
  
» Hunter Arnold was named ASUN Field Athlete of the Week after He set the new indoor school record with a vault of 4.95m (16'2.75) to finish second at the Crimson Elite meet. That vault leads the ASUN conference by 0.20m. The Kennesaw, Ga. native took home a third place finish at the Scarlet and White meet with a vault of 4.90m (16'0.75).
 
» The women's track and field team leads the conference in six of 17 events headed into this weekend's action. 

» Kidan Kidane ( one mile), Jocselyn Powell (60m hurdles), 4x400m relay, Julija Tarvide (high jump), Erica Sergeant (pole vault), Jordan Gray (long jump) and the women's 4x400m relay team all have posted conference leading marks this season.
 
 » Jordan Gray was named ASUN Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Harvard Crimson Elite meet. Gray competed in the both the shot put and the long jump at the Crimson Elite meet. Gray recorded her indoor career-best indoor leap of 5.93m (19'5.5) to grab a third place finish in the event. That jump leads the ASUN by .03m. She finished seventh in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 13.16m (43'2.25) to finish seventh overall.
