BOSTON, Mass. – Morgan Campbell won the long jump, Julija Tarvide won the high jump, and Kidan Kidane set a school record in the mile to highlight a successful day for the Kennesaw State Track & Field teams at the Scarlet & White Invitational hosted by Boston University.

In addition to the pair of first-place showings, eight other Owls collected top-five finishes on the afternoon.

"We enjoyed another strong day of competition," said Director of Track & Field Andy Eggerth. "We had a number of student-athletes achieve lifetime-best performances this weekend, and another school record – this time by Kidan in the mile – to lead the conference. As we progress toward the indoor championship, I'm anticipating even better things."

Kidane finished fifth in the mile on Saturday, clocking a time of 4:54.05, which set the Owls' indoor school record. Kidane also held the previous record of 4:54.60 set last February.
