LIHU'E, Kaua'i – Sophomore
Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres carded his second straight even-par round to lead No. 25 Kennesaw State during second-round action at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate that is being contested at the par-72, 6,991-yard Wailua Golf Course in Lihu'e, Kaua'i.
Torres' performance helped the Owls turn in a 5-over par 293 and post a two-round total of 6-over par 582 to land in 12th place. Fourth-ranked Virginia turned in a 5-under 283 and leads the 18-team field with a 25-under par 551, six shots in front of No. 18 Texas A&M (557, -19).
With an even-par 144 total, Torres is 11 shots behind Texas A&M's Chandler Phillips, who holds the individual lead with an 11-under par total of 133, three shots ahead of Virginia's Jimmy Stranger.
Sophomore
Jake Fendt shot a 1-over par 73 and is tied with teammate
Teremoana Beaucousin for 44th with a 2-over par 146. Senior
Christopher Guglielmo (72-77 – 149) and junior
Paul Doig (77-74 – 151) are tied for 68th and 78th, respectively.
